The LetterNetwork is a correspondence program matching mature Mentors in the South Africa, the United States and Canada
with needy orphans and vulnerable children in South Africa.
The selected children typically have little or no meaningful interactions with adults.
The goal of the LetterNetwork is to provide spiritual and emotional support to this generation of vulnerable children.
The Need
The HIV/AIDS epidemic has orphaned more than 1.5 million children in South Africa.
Many of these children are in poverty and vulnerable to sickness, abuse and neglect.
Almost one third of the girls experience some type of sexual or physical abuse.
Often older children care for their younger siblings.
These children are forced to deal with the pressures of life without the guidance or support of parents or older brothers or sisters.
You Can Make a Difference
Through the LetterNetwork program, you can make a life-changing impact on one of these vulnerable children.
If you are a spiritually and emotionally mature adult, you can apply to be a LetterNetwork Mentor.
Visit the About page to learn more about the program and how it works.
We provide the paper, envelopes and postage for each needy child, so there's no financial obligation to get involved.
Please contact us if you, your church group, or other organization would like to make a
difference in the life of a vulnerable child in South Africa.
